2. About Crowdtrip
Crowdtrip is a travel planning and coordination platform that allows users to create and manage trips, collaborate with others on travel plans, build itineraries and save places, and use AI-powered assistance (“Hector”) to support planning. Crowdtrip does not directly provide travel services such as accommodation, transport, or activities.
3. Eligibility
- Be at least 13 years old, or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Provide accurate and complete information
4. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account, all activity under your account, and ensuring your login details are secure. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Use of the Service
You agree to use Crowdtrip only for lawful purposes.
- Use the platform for fraudulent or misleading activities
- Upload harmful, abusive, or illegal content
- Interfere with the operation or security of the Service
- Attempt to access other users’ data without permission
6. Trip Content and Collaboration
6.1 Shared content
When you participate in a trip, content you add may be visible to other members of that trip.
6.2 Private content
Personal notes and private AI interactions remain private.
6.3 Responsibility
You are responsible for the content you add and for ensuring it is accurate and appropriate. Crowdtrip does not guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content.
7. AI Assistance (Hector)
7.1 Nature of AI output
Hector provides suggestions, guidance, and generated content based on available data and user inputs.
7.2 Limitations
Hector does not act autonomously on your behalf. All decisions and actions are made by users. AI-generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate.
7.3 User responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated suggestions before acting on them.
8. Third-Party Services and Bookings
Crowdtrip may link to third-party services such as accommodation providers or activity platforms. Crowdtrip does not provide travel services and is not a party to bookings made with third parties. Any bookings or transactions are between you and the third-party provider and are subject to their terms and conditions. We are not responsible for availability, pricing, quality, or disputes arising from those services.
9. Payments and Contributions
If applicable, Crowdtrip may offer features to facilitate group payments or contributions. Payments are handled by third-party providers, and Crowdtrip does not store full payment card details. We facilitate coordination and tracking of payments, but do not guarantee payment completion by other users. You are responsible for any financial commitments you make.
10. Affiliate Links
Crowdtrip may include affiliate links to third-party services. We may earn a commission if you make a booking, and this does not affect the price you pay.
11. Intellectual Property
All content and materials provided by Crowdtrip, including design, branding, software, and AI-generated system outputs, are owned by or licensed to Crowdtrip. You may not copy, distribute, or modify the platform without permission, or reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code. You retain ownership of content you create.
12. Data and Privacy
Your use of Crowdtrip is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you agree to how we collect and use your data as described there.
13. Availability and Changes
We may modify or update the Service at any time, add or remove features, or temporarily suspend access for maintenance. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the platform, or if we are required to do so by law. You may stop using the Service at any time.
15. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee accuracy of content or recommendations, suitability of travel plans, or availability of third-party services. Crowdtrip is a planning tool and does not replace professional advice.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crowdtrip shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; loss of data, profits, or opportunities; or issues arising from third-party services or bookings. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us, if any, in the past 12 months.
17. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Crowdtrip harmless from any claims arising from your use of the Service, your content or actions, or your violation of these Terms.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
